Shea Copeland

Shea Copeland is an accomplished professional in development and communications, currently serving as the Manager of Development and Communications at Read Alliance since August 2019. In this role, Shea has significantly contributed to increasing foundational revenue from $1 million to $2 million by leading grant writing efforts for institutional donors and government agencies. Previous positions at Read Alliance included senior coordinator and associate roles, all focused on leveraging youth-led literacy tutoring to support early elementary students in under-resourced communities. Prior experience includes a sales associate role at Nike, which enhanced marketing knowledge and customer service skills, and a legal internship at the Santa Monica City Attorney's Office. Shea holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Princeton University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree at USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, along with a Leadership Principles certificate from Harvard Business School Online.
