Julia Cadwallender

Julia Cadwallender currently serves as the Managing Director at Read by 4th since October 2024. Prior to this role, Julia held various positions at KIPP Philadelphia Schools from July 2011 to September 2024, including Regional Director of Student Support and Assistant Principal, where responsibilities focused on managing special education programming and enhancing a K-8 school environment in North Philadelphia. Additional experience includes roles as Special Education Coordinator and 1st Grade Inclusion Lead Teacher, as well as serving as a Corps Member Advisor for Teach for America in June 2011. Earlier experience includes working as a Special Education Teacher for the School District of Philadelphia from August 2009 to June 2011. Julia Cadwallender earned a Master of Education in Special Education and Teaching from Chestnut Hill College and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Emory University.
