Kiana Porter-Isom

Kiana Porter-Isom currently serves as the Chief Improvement Officer at Reading Horizons since July 2021. Prior experience includes roles at Illustrative Mathematics, where Kiana held the positions of Director of PL Implementation and Talent, Manager of IM Certified Facilitators, and Certified Facilitator Specialist from August 2019 to 2021. At Discovery Education, Kiana worked as Manager of Professional Learning and Professional Development Consultant from 2017 to 2019, and at Agile Mind as a Professional Development Consultant from 2016 to 2019. Kiana's experience also includes serving as Curriculum Manager at Tyrone Middle School from 2014 to 2017, where notable achievements included the launch of a 1-to-1 device program and strategies that improved the school's grade from D to C. Kiana began a career in education as an Instructional Staff Developer and Middle School Math Teacher at Pinellas County Schools from 2008 to 2014. Kiana earned a Bachelor's degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a Master's degree in Education from the University of New England.
