Travis Gibbons

Travis Gibbons has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and IT services. Travis started their career as an Organic Chemistry Research Intern at Hendrix College, where they conducted research on pheromones in elephants. Travis then worked as a Library Page at the Central Arkansas Library System, organizing the facility and assisting patrons.

Travis later joined CenterPoint Energy as an Engineering Intern, where they analyzed and interpreted engineering diagrams to ensure data integrity and updated pipeline information in GIS software. Travis then interned at ConocoPhillips, first as an Information Integration Center of Excellence Intern, where they established a Hadoop cluster and designed a micro enterprise architecture. Travis also worked as a Commercial IT- Systems Reliability Intern, developing and implementing a distributed monitoring solution using Zabbix software.

After their internships, Travis founded MungeBean MicroConsulting LLC, offering IT infrastructure consultation and custom development services. Travis then joined ConocoPhillips again, initially as a Data Analytics and Integration Developer, where they delivered reliable ETL interfaces and conducted proof of concepts using various technologies. Travis later served as a DataOps Engineer, establishing the company's first data lake and cloud-based data science environment.

Most recently, Travis has been working at CircleIn - The All-in-One Studying Platform and Ready.net as a Senior Data Engineer, where they utilize their expertise in data engineering to optimize data management and analytics for the organizations.

Throughout their career, Travis has demonstrated proficiency in various AWS technologies, including Redshift, Athena, S3, Lambda, EC2, SageMaker, Glue, Batch, ECR, ECS, CloudFormation, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Secrets Manager. Travis has also used Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, Python, Apache Storm, and Hadoop for data integration and analytics.

Travis has shown a commitment to continuous learning and has mentored interns during their tenure at ConocoPhillips. Travis is skilled in problem-solving, documentation, and providing support for data-related operations.

Travis Gibbons has a strong education background in the field of computer engineering. Travis obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Arkansas, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Parkview Arts and Science Magnet High School from 2007 to 2011, with a focus on science. In addition to their formal education, Travis has also obtained certifications in Amazon Web Services (AWS). In February 2020, they earned the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification, followed by the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification in July 2020.
