Zhuangyuan Fan has worked in a variety of roles since 2015. Zhuangyuan began their career as a Landscape Architect at OLIN in 2015. In 2018, they became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2019, they were a 2019 Sasaki Foundation Design Grant Fellow /Product Manager at site., a Research Assistant at MIT Senseable City Lab, and a Data Science Intern at Neighborly. In 2020, they were a Data Team Lead at Ready.net, a Data Scientist at Tencent Cloud, and a Research Assistant at MIT Civic Data Design Lab. As of 2022, they are a Research Affiliate at MIT Senseable City Lab, and a Research Assistant at The University of Hong Kong.
Zhuangyuan Fan began their educational journey in 2008, when they obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from Zhejiang University. In 2011-2012, they attended Technical University of Munich for a field of study in Architecture. Zhuangyuan then pursued a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania from 2013-2015. In 2018-2020, Zhuangyuan Fan obtained a Master of City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a field of study in Urban Information System. Currently, they are in the process of completing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from The University of Hong Kong. Additionally, Zhuangyuan Fan has obtained certifications in Fundamentals of Reinforcement Learning from Coursera in May 2022, and Machine Learning with Python-From Linear Models to Deep Learning from MITx on edX in September 2019.
