Erik Hindman

System Engineer at Real Radiology

Erik Hindman has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2007, they began their career as a Cashier and Backroom employee at Hy-Vee Food Stores, where they developed customer service and communication skills. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as an Undergraduate Technical Intern at Rockwell Collins, testing avionics and developing software tools. Erik then worked as a GIS Technician and Student Programmer at the Iowa Department of Transportation for a brief period in 2013.

In the same year, Hindman joined Rockwell Collins as a Systems Engineering Intern, where they collaborated with teams, developed software tools, implemented avionics test scripts, and identified irregularities in avionics test rigs. Erik also worked as a Systems Specialist at McFarland Clinic PC during this time, completing a Windows XP to Windows 7 migration project and creating automation scripts.

In 2014, Hindman continued their role as a Systems Specialist at McFarland Clinic PC, contributing to a Windows XP to Windows 7 migration project and automating parts of the migration process using batch and VB.NET scripts. Erik also interned as a Systems Engineering Intern at Rockwell Collins, working on the 767 Retrofit project, designing avionics layouts, and documenting voltage and amperage irregularities.

In 2015, Hindman joined Adecco Staffing, USA as an Operations Engineer I contractor at the Council Bluffs Google Datacenter. Erik diagnosed, repaired, and upgraded server hardware and resolved hardware and software faults. Erik then moved to Nebraska Medicine as a Technical Analyst I, providing support for a wide range of equipment, deploying and maintaining desktops and laptops, and supporting computers and desk phones.

Hindman's most recent position, starting in 2020, is as a System Engineer at Real Radiology, LLC. Here, they provide support for nationwide teleradiology system integrations, handles top-level escalations for radiologist workflow issues, and addresses workstation, networking, and telecom issues.

Erik Hindman attended Linn-Mar High School from 2005 to 2009. After completing high school, they pursued a degree in Computer Science at Iowa State University from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their university education, they also attended Kirkwood Community College from 2007 to 2014, where they focused on studying Networking and Mathematics.
