Alan Melville has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Alan started their career as a Cost Accountant at Coleco Industries in 1985. Afterwards, they worked as a Financial Analyst at American Savings and Loan from 1986 to 1987. Alan then transitioned to American Real Estate Group in 1986, where they served as the VP of Info Systems and Strategic Planning until 1993. In 1991, they briefly worked as the Director of Info Systems at Colony Advisors. In the same year, they joined Brazos Asset Management as a Senior Project Manager until 1994. From 1993 to 2012, they founded and managed their own consulting firm, RealINSIGHT, CWFS Insight LLC, where they held various roles such as CEO and Senior Vice President. During this time, they provided business and information systems consulting services, developed custom software for businesses, and created software for business modeling and commercial asset management.
Alan Melville obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Brigham Young University from 1978 to 1985. In addition, they have obtained various certifications in fields such as user experience, product management, technology, and management foundations from LinkedIn and Lynda.com, with the most recent certification obtained in 2023.
