Jake Whitman has a diverse work background, starting in 2009 as a Corps Member with Teach For America. After this, they founded and served as the Executive Director of STARS, a non-profit organization that supports student-athletes in low-income schools. Jake then worked as an Author for Destination: Teach For America before transitioning to corporate roles. At Procter & Gamble, they held various positions including Assistant Brand Manager, Senior Assistant Brand Manager, and Brand Manager, where they achieved impressive results for the Gillette and Old Spice brands. Jake later joined Intuit as a Group Marketing Manager and then moved to SoFi as a Senior Director in Product Marketing. Additionally, Whitman has experience as an investor with Queen City Angels and as the Founder/Managing Partner of Ludlow Capital. Currently, they are the Founder/CEO of Really Good Boxed Wine, a company dedicated to providing high-quality wine in a box format at a discounted price.

Jake Whitman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from UC Santa Barbara, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Jake then pursued a Masters degree in Special Education at Chestnut Hill College from 2009 to 2011.
