Reza Rassool

Reza Rassool is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in AI and software development. Currently serving as Chair and CEO of Kwaai, a nonprofit collaborative AI research laboratory, Reza is focused on building Kwaai OS and advancing research in fundamental AI. Previously, as a Fellow and CTO at RealNetworks, Reza played a crucial role in transitioning the company to a leader in AI, overseeing divisions such as SAFR and Kontxt. Reza founded Kwaai Oak, offering CTO-as-a-Service™ and consulting for over 20 startups. Reza has held significant roles at Zya, Widevine Technologies, Second Sight Medical Products, and others, contributing to various technological advancements and innovations. Reza holds a B.Sc. in Physics from King's College London and is currently an Affiliate Professor in Computer Science and Physics at the University of Washington.
