Monaz Karkaria

Monaz Karkaria is a board member at reAlpha and has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. Monaz was previously the owner and president of Ben Zen Properties LLC from January 2013 to October 2020. During their time there, they managed the company's operations, finances, and property management. Monaz was also responsible for strategic growth and planning to ensure that the company had a national presence in the real estate industry.

Before their time at Ben Zen Properties LLC, Monaz worked as a financial advisor at Citi from January 2011 to December 2012. Prior to Citi, they were a language consultant at Berlitz Corporation from January 2005 to January 2008 where they helped executives in Brazil learn English as a second language in order to get expat positions in English speaking countries.

Monaz began their career at the World Health Organization in August 1999 as the Head of Department for Prosthesis & Orthotics. In this role, they were responsible for setting up workshops in rural India in 5 regions. Monaz left the World Health Organization in August 2001 to take on a role as a technical sales representative at Smith & Nephew where they worked from June 1997 to July 1999.

Monaz Karkaria has a master's degree in marketing/marketing management from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). Monaz also has a bachelor's degree in orthotics/prosthetics from the All India Institute Of Physical Medicine And Rehabilitation.
