Kimberley McCann

Kimberley McCann has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software engineering. Kimberley currently works as an Engineering Lead at Reath, where they lead and grows the engineering team to develop software for smarter reuse of everyday items. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at NDS Scotland, where they focused on creating infrastructure for a digital platform and migrating from Azure to AWS infrastructure. Kimberley also deployed Prometheus for monitoring and alerting.

Before NDS Scotland, Kimberley held multiple roles at PODFather, including Lead Software Engineer and Systems Developer. In these roles, they led agile project teams, trained and mentored team members, and increased test coverage of the codebase. Kimberley also worked on adding features, fixing bugs, and developing the database for the web application.

Kimberley's earlier work experience includes a role as a Lab Tutor at the University of Dundee, where they supervised and assisted students with practical labs in Human Computer Interaction and Agile Software Development courses. Kimberley also gained valuable experience as a Software Engineering Intern at Findmypast, working on projects using C#, Elixir API, and React.js.

Kimberley'searliest work experience was as a Customer Assistant at Tesco PLC.

Kimberley McCann received a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computing from the University of Dundee, which they attended from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a Certificate of Higher Education in Computer Science at The University of Edinburgh, where they studied from 2012 to 2014.
