REBBLS
Åshild (Ash) Vågene is an accomplished researcher and professional with a strong background in ancient DNA and palaeogenetics. Currently serving as Treasurer & Board Member and Core Team Member at REBBLS since August 2023, Åshild is engaged in connecting the Danish biotech and life science community. As an Associate and Innovation Fellow at the BioInnovation Institute, Åshild focuses on market landscape analysis in cardiometabolic diseases. Past experience includes a postdoctoral research position at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, where Åshild investigated ancient pathogens in archaeological remains, and a Ph.D. at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History, studying ancient bacterial pathogen genomes in the Americas. Åshild holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. from the University of Tübingen and MSc degrees from the University of Leicester and Durham University, where Åshild also completed a BA in Anthropology and Archaeology.

We are a network connecting the Danish biotech and life science community with a focus on entrepreneurship, personal development and creating meaningful business relationships. REBBLS' purpose is to improve the success of intrapreneurs and increase the volume and quality of life science startups.
