Emma Elise Hoch-Schneider is a PhD student at The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability since August 2020, with significant experience in leadership and research. Emma has served as Co-President of the DTU Biosustain Brewing Club and President/PhD Representative of the DTU Biosustain Early Career Researchers' Association, where initiatives included expanding membership to include research assistants and post-docs, organizing events, and representing PhD students in administrative committees. Previously, Emma held a Research Associate position at Berkeley Yeast, focusing on engineering metabolic pathways and optimizing yeast transformation protocols. Emma's diverse background includes roles as a Spirits Educator at Hangar 1 Vodka, English Teaching Assistant for the Fulbright Association, and various research-related positions at Lewis & Clark College, contributing to scientific education and community engagement. Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and History from Lewis & Clark College.
