Marylou Mendez

Marylou Mendez is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as a First-5 Therapist I at Rebekah Children's Services since April 2022. Previous roles include Behavioral Health Intern II at C.O.R.E., where Marylou conducted biopsychosocial assessments and developed treatment plans for teens with substance use and mental health disorders. At La Clínica de La Raza, Marylou provided culturally sensitive assessments and treatments to children and adults with severe mental health conditions. Prior experience includes implementing behavioral programs for children with developmental disabilities at Behavior Frontiers and tutoring psychology students at Humboldt State University. Marylou holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Humboldt State University.
