William Sutton

Chief Engineer and Co-Founder at Rebel Research

William Sutton has worked in the engineering field since 2015. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Engineering Project Manager at the Cal Poly Prototype Vehicles Laboratory (PROVE Lab). In 2017, they were an intern at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, working in their Platform Engineering department. From 2018 to 2020, they were the Chief Engineer and Co-Founder at Rebel Research, where they worked on Seaflight, a unique electric aircraft demonstrator, and Project Boom, a National Science Foundation-funded project on shockwave/fire interactions. Currently, they are the Founder and In Charge of Engineering at Seaflight Technologies.

William Sutton graduated from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Aerospace Engineering with an Aeronautics Concentration. William attended the university from 2013 to 2018.
