Willem-Jan Zwanenburg is a highly experienced professional in the railway infrastructure sector, currently serving as a Director at Rebel since January 2016, where a focus is placed on combining financial consultancy with technical knowledge. Zwanenburg has contributed to academia as a guest lecturer at École des Ponts ParisTech since 2009, teaching on railway infrastructure and operations. Previous roles include Principal Consultant at LeighFisher Switzerland GmbH, Track Asset Manager at SBB, and Owner of Zwanenburg Transport Consulting, where projects involved benchmarking and safety measures in railway systems. Zwanenburg has an extensive educational background, holding a PhD in Civil Engineering from EPFL and an MSc in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
