Jamie Standring

Jamie Standring's work experience spans over three decades in the automotive industry. They began their career at Jaguar Cars Ltd in 1990 as a Senior Design Engineer, resolving design and development issues on engine components and sub-systems. After working at Engineering Analysis Services, Inc. as a Senior Project Engineer, Jamie joined Chrysler Motors Corp in 1995 as a Product Engineer, where they were responsible for the adaptation, design, development, and release of a transmission for use in a European Jeep diesel application.

In 1998, Jamie moved to DaimlerChrysler AG and took on various roles, including Planning Specialist and Senior Engineer, focusing on strategic needs for gas engines, transmission planning, and mechanical sub-systems of automatic transmissions. They were recognized for their expertise in quality and reliability engineering, participating in re-engineering initiatives and implementing process improvements.

Jamie joined Chrysler LLC in 2008 as a Planning Specialist and Manager in Powertrain Program Management. They continued to excel in program management, leading teams responsible for integrating engines, transmissions, and axles in RAM branded vehicles. They also played a key role in the development of the Pentastar engine program governance meeting.

In 2009, Jamie began their career at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (now Stellantis), where they held several senior management positions. They led teams responsible for SRT SUV program management, HEMI engine platform management, SRT powertrain engineering, and powertrain integration in RAM trucks. They successfully launched high-performance vehicles, achieved cost and weight reductions, and led the design and calibration of powertrain solutions.

In 2021, Jamie joined Stellantis and served as the Chief Engineer for the 800V BEV Propulsion System, leading the team responsible for the development of the Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee programs. They gained approval for program extensions and implemented new governance processes.

Most recently, Jamie joined Karma Automotive in 2022 as the Vice President of Powertrain Systems, overseeing powertrain development for the company.

In 2022, Jamie also joined Re:Build Manufacturing as the Chief Engineer for Project Re:Car, where they are currently employed.

Throughout their career, Jamie Standring has demonstrated exceptional leadership, program management, and engineering skills, contributing to the success and innovation of multiple automotive companies.

Jamie Standring has a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. They also completed select professional training at the Chrysler Institute. Additionally, Jamie holds a Bachelor of Technology (Honors) degree in Automotive Engineering & Design from Loughborough University.
