Ota Mares

Ota Mares began their professional career in 2003 as a Web-Entwickler for viazenetti GmbH. Over the course of seven years, they built webshops and company websites using e-commerce software, content management systems, and static pages. In 2010, they joined rebuy recommerce GmbH, where the tech team consisted of five people. During their time there, they were part of a bouquet of tasks such as logistics solutions, ERP feature hacking, marketplace implementation, and webshop improvements. Ota also broke up the two PHP monoliths that powered the shop and backend systems, giving him the chance to make their first steps with Java and learn more about service-oriented architecture and microservices. In 2016, they were given the opportunity to lead all teams that work on customer-facing products and services. As a team lead, they mentored teams and participated in all phases of projects, from conception to implementation.

Ota Mares completed a Practitioner of Modern Leadership program at TAM Akademie GmbH in 2021. Prior to that, they attended SAE Institute Munich from 2002 to 2003, where they earned a Multimedia Producer degree.
