Shelli Brasher

Senior Administrator of Strategic Initiatives at Rec Foundation

Shelli Brasher has been working in the education and robotics field since 1986. Shelli began their career as a Teacher for STEM, FIRST and VEX Robotics, and TSA at Collierville Schools. In 2016, they joined the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation as a Senior Administrator of Strategic Initiatives. Shelli then became the Senior Programs Manager for Early Elementary Robotics and Coding, followed by the role of Senior Regional Support Manager. Currently, they are a Regional Support Manager, responsible for providing day-to-day oversight of the organization's activities and critical support and training to the organization's constituencies in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Shelli is dedicated to helping schools and communities provide sustainable robotics education programs for their youth and to empowering girls to pursue STEM careers.

Shelli Brasher's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics from The University of Memphis, obtained between 1981 and 1985, and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Trevecca Nazarene University, obtained between 1989 and 1990. Shelli has also obtained several certifications from VEX Robotics, including a VEX 123 Certified Educator in June 2021, a CS with VEXcode VR Educator Certification in May 2020, a VEX GO Certified Educator in May 2020, a VEX IQ Certified Educator in June 2019, and a VEX V5 Certified Educator in May 2019.
