Dr. Manuela Gehrer

Dr. Manuela Gehrer currently serves as a Program Manager and previously held the position of Program Specialist at RECARO Aircraft Seating since July 2015. Prior experience includes working as a Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin and Dozentin at the Institut für Luftfahrtantriebe, Universität Stuttgart from October 2009 to June 2015, where Dr. Gehrer focused on a doctoral research project regarding the benefits of aircraft-compatible fuels derived from microalgae compared to conventional kerosene. Earlier, Dr. Gehrer was involved in a diploma project at MTU Aero Engines in early 2009, exploring the potential of alternative fuels in aviation, specifically the use of algae. Dr. Gehrer completed a Diplom-Ingenieurin in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Stuttgart in 2009.
