Tanupriya Ash

Tanupriya Ash is a skilled Textile Engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and automotive sectors. Currently serving as Textile Engineer II at RECARO Aircraft Seating since August 2018, Tanupriya is responsible for designing and developing leather, synthetic leather, and fabric dress covers for aircraft seats, managing projects at the USA facility independently, and collaborating with global airlines and suppliers. Prior experience includes an engineering internship at Adient, where Tanupriya optimized automotive seating components, and roles at Eastern Michigan University as a Graduate Research Assistant and at Welspun Group as a merchandiser. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Apparel, Textile & Merchandising from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor of Technology in Textile Sciences and Engineering from the University of Calcutta. Tanupriya holds expertise in various textile technologies and methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma and the PLM System.
