Anthony Kesich

Anthony Kesich has a diverse range of work experience. Anthony is currently working as a Software Engineer at Recidiviz, starting in December 2020. Prior to this, they were a Field Organizer at the Democratic Party of Wisconsin from March 2020 to June 2020. Anthony also worked as a Software Engineer at Facebook from January 2015 to May 2019. In addition, Anthony has experience as a Guest Instructor at Morgan State University from August 2018 to December 2018. Anthony worked as an Engineer at Wit.ai in November and December 2014, where they implemented a Voice Activity Detection system for iOS and Android SDKs before the company was acquired by Facebook. Before that, Anthony was a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Davis from June 2010 to September 2014, where they analyzed petabyte-scale datasets from a particle collider. Anthony also worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research from May 2008 to June 2009, and as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center from February 2006 to August 2007. Prior to their research roles, Anthony gained experience as a Lighting Designer and Production Manager at E33 Productions from September 2005 to June 2009, where they designed and executed lighting plans for various events and managed teams of lighting technicians.

Anthony Kesich attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics. Anthony then pursued further education at the University of California, Davis from 2009 to 2014, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in High Energy Nuclear Physics. During their time at UC Davis, they also obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Physics from 2009 to 2011.
