Jen Overgaag

Jen Overgaag has a diverse work experience that spans across multiple companies and roles. Jen started their career as a Quality Assurance Engineer Intern at VERITAS Software in 2004 before moving on to Northrop Grumman Corporation as a Technical Intern in 2005. From there, they joined Cisco Systems, where they worked as an Associate Systems Engineer and later as a Systems Engineer, specializing in sales and pre-sales technical roles. In 2009, they became an Independent Consultant and volunteered as a Technical Volunteer in Zambia, working with secondary schools to stabilize their networks and introduce ICT teaching tools. In 2010, Jen joined Inveneo as a Project Engineer, where they contributed to the design and implementation of sustainable technology solutions in underserved areas, such as Tanzania and Haiti. Jen then transitioned to the role of Senior Project Engineer, taking on more responsibilities in technical leadership and architectural design. In 2014, Jen joined EducationSuperHighway as a Software Engineer and later became a Senior Field Network Engineer, where they worked on data readiness transitions, system implementations, and technical resource development. Their most recent position is as a Senior Software Engineer at Recidiviz, starting in 2020. Throughout their career, Jen has demonstrated expertise in network engineering, disaster response, software development, project management, and technical leadership.

Jen Overgaag attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2001 to 2006, where they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering in the field of Engineering.
