Prior experience includes roles as Sr Director at Pfizer, where Gernot W. led clinical development for the opioid portfolio, and as Sr Medical Director at AbbVie, overseeing early pain asset development. Gernot W. has a strong background in late-stage clinical development from roles at Pfizer and Grünenthal Group, along with management experience at Accenture. Gernot W. holds multiple MD degrees from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and RWTH Aachen University, is board-certified as a Clinical Pharmacologist, and has experience in pharmacology research with the German Federal Armed Forces.
