Luc Burgard

Luc Burgard is the current COO at Recipharm. Luc has previously worked as the Head of Operations (SVP) for BioProcess Solutions at Sartorius from January 2019 to April 2022. Prior to that, they were the Vice President Operations for Fluid Management Technologies at Sartorius Stedim Biotech from January 2018 to December 2018. From October 2011 to December 2017, they were the Managing Director at Catalent Pharma Solutions, leading the world’s biggest Softgel pharmaceutical operations and development center with 700 people. Luc has been responsible for manufacturing and exporting consumer health products up to life saving drugs across the globe.

Luc has a proven track record in setting up and executing business plans, ensuring compliance with GMP regulations and Quality standards, generating organic growth, optimizing utilization of infrastructures and increasing operating leverage. Luc has also successfully executed a product plan and R&D and Technology business model to enlarge the offering at Catalent Pharma Solutions. Under their leadership, the company has seen significant improvements in business processes and organizational breakthroughs, as well as an increase in employer attractivity.

Luc Burgard reports to Marc Funk, CEO. Luc Burgard works with Ulrike Lemke - Head of Transformation, Gregor Kawaletz - Head of Business Unit Oral Solid Dosages, and Daniela Roxin - CFO.
