Alberto Castaño is a Co-Founder and CTO at Recog Analytics since July 2020. Prior to this role, he worked as a Teacher Assistant at Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, focusing on Deep Learning. He also served as a Software Director and Big Data Architect at Openbank, where he managed and administered the architecture of multiple AWS accounts. His experience includes roles as an IA and Big Data Engineer at Accenture, and a Machine Learning Researcher at the Centro de Inteligencia Artificial de la Universidad de Oviedo. Alberto's educational background includes a Bachelor's Master in Artificial Intelligence Research and Data Science from Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, and a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication Technologies Engineering from Universidad de Oviedo.

Recog Analytics
Recog Analytics is a Spanish startup founded in 2020 by Alberto Castaño and Daniel Heinisch. Recog´s main focus is to leverage available data at hospitals and other healthcare facilities to improve patient treatments or to optimize the workflow of medical professionals. This goal is attained by applying any form of technology. We are specialized in Machine Learning and the use of AI, but know how to choose the appropriate technology that best fits the problem: AI is just another tool for us. Recog works together with Spanish hospitals, such as HUCA in Asturias or Ronda Hospital in Málaga, developing technology in close collaboration to ensure it serves doctors and ultimately patients in the best way. AI will not replace doctors, it will empower them to treat patients in improved fashion and secure the time to do so in a more personal manner than ever.
