Tomas Rehorek

Tomas Rehorek's work experience began in 2011 as a Visiting Researcher at nangu.TV - Alnair a.s. Tomas then worked as a CTO at Modgen from November 2012 to July 2015, focusing on problem-solving and innovative thinking. Starting in February 2013, they became an Assistant Lecturer at FIT CTU in Prague, where they conducted research in Recommender Systems and Data Mining while teaching various courses. Since December 2015, Tomas has been the CTO and Co-founder of Recombee, a cloud-based Recommendation-as-a-Service company that continuously develops innovative features and integrates machine learning algorithms.

Tomas Rehorek's education history begins in 2002 when they attended the Secondary School of Applied Cybernetics. During their time there, they focused on Information Technology and programming. After completing their secondary education in 2006, Tomas went on to pursue a Master's degree at Czech Technical University in Prague. Tomas'sfield of study was Open Informatics, with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence. Tomas successfully completed their Master's degree in 2011 and continued their academic journey at Czech Technical University in Prague. Tomas spent the next eight years earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Technology. In 2019, they successfully completed their doctoral studies.
