Yoseph was formerly a Senior Scientist at Amyris. He has more than 15 years of experience in yeast metabolic and strain engineering. At Amyris, he has been a leader or a main contributor to several product development projects that brought multiple molecules from concept to large-scale manufacturing. In addition, he is a lead author on different peer-reviewed research manuscripts and patents. Yoseph received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Nevada, where he worked on elevating the vitamin E and vitamin B1 content of plants through metabolic engineering.
Recombia Biosciences
Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) has been used by humans for brewing and baking for thousands of years. More recently, this handy microorganism has been used as a “cell factory” to produce therapeutics and commodity chemicals at scale. Recombia Bio’s technologies enhance this process, by optimizing yeast through genome editing to address specific industrial manufacturing challenges and bottlenecks.
