Rob Hobbs

President at RECON

Rob joined RECON in 2009 and serves as company president and director of the Habitat Restoration Division. Rob is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day corporate operations, long-term strategic planning, financial performance, client liaison, sales and business development, and quality control. His experience, expertise, and knowledge of the company and the unique needs of the clients provide an invaluable resource to the continued growth of the firm.

Rob has a Master of City Planning degree from San Diego State University and has worked in the environmental consulting industry for more than 21 years. He is a certified ecological restoration practitioner, International Society of Arboriculture-certified arborist, C-27 licensed landscape contractor, and a qualified pest control applicator. Rob is also on the County of San Diego Approved CEQA Consultants List for Revegetation Planning. Under Rob’s guidance, RECON has developed long-term collaborative relationships with the clients while delivering the highest value of habitat restoration services and cost-effective solutions to achieving regulatory agency approvals. He has been instrumental in the large-scale restoration of thousands of acres of sensitive habitats in the Southwest, including areas damaged by wildfires in California.
