Stephen Hughes

Mr. Hughes serves as the Corporate Instrument/Electrical/Automation (IEA) Manager as well as Manager of Projects for Recon Management Services, Inc. He is responsible for all aspects of the IEA organization in the servicing of internal and external clients and the development of new client opportunities.

Mr. Hughes has 34 years of experience in the chemical and refining industries. He spent the first 17 years of his career as a direct chemical plant employee where his responsibilities included Maintenance, Reliability, Capital Projects, Safety/Control Systems Support, and Turnaround/Outage Planning. He began employment at ReCon in 2006. His experience since then has included managing a wide variety of multi-discipline projects for chemical plants and refineries, serving as Beaumont office manager, improving ReCon’s internal processes/procedures, and more recently being promoted to oversee ReCon’s IEA organization.

Mr. Hughes has been actively serving in church for many years as a Bible Study teacher, Choir member, Worship Leader, Mission Trip participant, and Deacon.

Mr. Hughes graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1989 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Louisiana (#26578) and Texas (#97894).
