Guy Wakeley

Guy joined Reconomy in 2023 as Chief Executive Officer, bringing with him career-long experience of delivering growth in the engineering, construction, and services industries. He has recent and relevant experience in international M&A, technology disruption and large-scale operational leadership and transformation. Guy’s professional interests lie in harnessing technology and data to transform service delivery, and the importance of purpose and culture to drive improved outcomes for organizations, customers, and colleagues.

Prior to joining Reconomy, Guy was chief executive – of services for IWG, the world’s largest provider of flexible workspace. Previously he was Chief Executive of Equiniti Group plc, the FTSE 250 provider of share-dealing, payment platforms, and services to the biggest businesses in the UK and the US. Guy led Equiniti since 2013 and delivered its flotation on the main market of the London Stock Exchange and expansion into the American and European markets. Guy’s earlier career spans numerous blue-chip organisations including Morrison, General Electric, and Rolls-Royce.

Guy holds an MA in Engineering Science from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in applications of artificial intelligence. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a Chartered Engineer, and a Member of the CBI’s Public Services Strategy Board.
