Aruna Akkapeddi

Aruna Akkapeddi is a seasoned regulatory affairs professional with extensive experience in the medical device industry. Currently serving as the Director of Regulatory Affairs at ReCor Medical since October 2019, Aruna previously held positions such as Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs and Manager of Regulatory Affairs at Roche Sequencing Solutions. Prior roles include Regulatory Affairs Project Manager and Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Abbott, where Aruna was instrumental in supporting the Structural Heart MitraClip product line and managing submissions for multiple PMA devices. Early career experiences include a regulatory internship at Coombs Medical Device Consulting and research scientist roles at Generation Biotech and Orchid BioSciences, contributing to advancements in DNA analysis and genotyping methods. Aruna holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from Michigan Technological University and a B.Sc in Life Sciences from the University of Mumbai.
