Co-Founder, COO & Chief Medical Officer at Recora

Ed Wu, MD has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare industry. Ed co-founded Recora in 2020 and currently holds the positions of Co-Founder, COO, and Chief Medical Officer. Recora Health focuses on redefining the future of heart health and provides home-based cardiac recovery programs for individuals who have had recent hospitalizations or medical events.

Prior to Recora, Dr. Wu served as the Chief Medical Officer at The New Jewish Home from 2018 to 2020. In this role, they led all clinical operations, quality improvement, research, and client experience initiatives across various business lines, including nursing homes, post-acute rehabilitation, adult day health centers, and more. Ed also played a significant role in guiding the skilled nursing facility response during the COVID-19 pandemic.

From 2017 to 2018, Dr. Wu was the Chief Medical Officer at Spring Care, Inc. Ed launched Spring's employee health and wellness solution, overseeing clinical operations, population health initiatives, telehealth regulatory/compliance, IT/EHR initiatives, patient satisfaction processes, billing/claims program, and provider network development.

Prior to that, Dr. Wu served as the Vice President of Clinical Solutions at IKS Health from 2015 to 2016. Ed'sresponsibilities included driving clinical solutions and innovation initiatives to optimize population health, provider workflow, operational efficiencies, and fiscal stability for healthcare clients.

Dr. Wu also has experience as a Vice President at Dearborn Advisors, where they provided strategic advisory services to healthcare clients on population health, clinical value, health informatics, patient/provider satisfaction, and CMIO services from 2009 to 2015. Ed held the position of Physician, Quality & Health Informatics at Maimonides Medical Center from 2007 to 2009, managing electronic medical record/health informatics initiatives and acting as a liaison between clinical and IT staff.

Dr. Wu began their career as a Physician at NYU Langone Health, specializing in public health and medical informatics research from 2005 to 2007. Ed also worked as a Physician at Northwell Health from 2003 to 2005 and at NorthShore University HealthSystem from 2002 to 2003.

In addition to their medical education, Dr. Wu also completed an MBA in Health Industry Management from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Furthermore, they hold a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Public Health/Clinical Investigation from New York Medicine Jobs.
