Michael Waters is the President and General Manager at Recordati Rare Diseases, where he is responsible for managing the company’s North American business with operations based in the US and Canada.
He received his BSc in Pharmacy with Honours from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and he went on to earn his MEng in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia.
Before joining Recordati Rare Diseases, he spent six years at Lundbeck as Vice President of Operations, where he was responsible for the management of supply chain operations and served in a leadership role supporting new product development and lifecycle planning. He also served as Vice President of Operations for Ovation Pharmaceuticals, supporting activities that were instrumental in the sale of the company to Lundbeck in 2009.
Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Chiron, the last of which was as Senior Vice President of Technology Development and Operations, and he has also held various management positions at Johnson & Johnson’s Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical in operations and business development.
