Matthew Mooney

Matthew Mooney is an experienced professional in national security and intelligence, currently serving as Director at Recorded Future since November 2021, after holding positions such as Senior Manager and Manager for Global Threats. Prior to this role, Matthew was a Task Force Member with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force from September 2018 to November 2021, collaborating with various authorities to combat terrorism in the United States. Matthew’s career also includes significant roles at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security between June 2007 and September 2018, where responsibilities encompassed positions such as Immigration Officer and Deputy Branch Chief for the National Security Division. Earlier experience includes working as an Intelligence Analyst at CACI International Inc from October 2002 to June 2007. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Allegheny College and a Master of Arts in National Security Policy Studies from Georgetown University.
