Taher Fouda

Taher Fouda has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity and network engineering. Taher is currently working at Recorded Future as a Technical Lead and Intelligence Consultant, where they specialize in intelligence services for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. Prior to joining Recorded Future, Taher worked at ITQAN UAE as a Security Consultant, where they managed enterprise-level firewalls and network security technologies. Taher also conducted security assessments and provided recommendations for disaster recovery and network security. Taher's previous roles include Network Security Engineer and Client Support Engineer at ITQAN UAE, as well as a Network Engineer at Gulfislands General Trading & IT Solutions. Taher started their career as a Junior Network Engineer at Suez Degremont United Group Company, where they gained experience in troubleshooting network connectivity and providing technical support to staff and clients. Taher has a strong background in network troubleshooting, system maintenance, and cybersecurity.

Taher Fouda pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services at Mansoura University from 2009 to 2013. Taher then proceeded to obtain a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the SANS Technology Institute, which they attended from 2019 to 2023.

In terms of certifications, Taher Fouda holds various credentials in the field of cybersecurity. Notably, they obtained the GIAC Defending Advanced Threats (GDAT) certification from GIAC Certifications in May 2023. In January 2023, they achieved the Certified ASI Specialist designation from Recorded Future. Additionally, Taher received the GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) certification from GIAC Certifications in December 2022. Other certifications include eLearnSecurity Junior Penetration Tester eJPT from eLearnSecurity in March 2020, LogRhythm Deployment Engineer - LRDE from LogRhythm in February 2020, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) from GIAC Certifications in January 2020, GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) from GIAC Certifications in November 2019, and GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from GIAC Certifications in October 2019.

During 2019, Taher achieved the LogRhythm Platform Administrator -LRPA and LogRhythm Security Analyst - LRSA certifications from LogRhythm in July. In 2018, they acquired the Cofense PhishMe Certification from COFENSE in April, Fortinet Network Security Architect NSE 7 from Fortinet in March, and Fortinet Network Security Expert NSE 8 from Fortinet in March. In 2017, they obtained the Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer PCNSE 7 credential from Palo Alto Networks in March. Taher also holds Fortinet Network Security Specialist NSE 6 from Fortinet, which they obtained in July 2016. In the same year, they earned the Fortinet Network Security Analyst NSE 5 certification from Fortinet in May, Certified SonicWall Security Administrator CSSA from Dell SonicWALL in April, Juniper Networks Certified Support Professional, Security (JNCSP-SEC) from Juniper Networks in April, Juniper Networks Certified Professional, Security (JNCIP-SEC) from Juniper Networks in March, and Juniper Networks Certified Specialist, Security (JNCIS-SEC) from Juniper Networks in March.
