Frederico Lopes McIwm

Frederico Lopes MCIWM has a diverse background in waste management and sustainability. Frederico began their career as a Tour Guide at Destinos Traçados, Lda in 2011. Frederico then gained experience as an EIA and Sustainability Intern at FuTurBio - Estudos em Ambiente e Turismo Lda from 2010 to 2011. Frederico furthered their knowledge in environmental consulting and hazardous waste management at Eco-Partner SA, where they worked as a Waste Management Technical Support from 2012 to 2013. Frederico also served as an Environment, Health, and Safety Intern at Hagen Engenharia, S.A. in 2012. Frederico then transitioned to public sector roles, working as a Waste Monitoring Officer at the London Borough of Lambeth from 2013 to 2014, and as an Outreach Officer at Veolia UK from February to May 2014. Frederico continued their work with Veolia UK as a Recycling Support Officer from 2014 to 2016. Frederico's career then took him to Recorra, where they held various positions, including Sustainability Manager, Senior Account Manager, Key Account Manager, and Portfolio Manager, before becoming the Head of Client Portfolios in 2023. Throughout their career, Frederico has focused on building relationships with high-profile clients, implementing sustainable waste management practices, and promoting recycling initiatives.

Frederico Lopes MCIWM holds a Master's Degree in Ecology and Environmental Management, which they obtained from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa. Frederico also completed their first year of master's studies at Czech University of Life Sciences Prague as part of the Erasmus Programme. Frederico obtained their Licentiate degree in Biology from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications including Chartered Resources & Waste Manager from CIWM, Successful Negotiation: Essential Strategies and Skills from Coursera, Presentation Skills, Service Excellence Skills, and Sales and Key Account Management from LDL - Leadership Development Ltd, and Advanced Excel from The Social Matrix Ltd.
