Joshua Sewell

Joshua Sewell has a diverse range of work experience, starting as an Insurance Sales Agent at Doss & Associates Inc from 2004 to 2012. Joshua then worked as a Sales Consultant at Festiva Hospitality Group in 2013. Moving into the field of addiction recovery, Joshua held the role of Intensive Outpatient Counselor at Addiction Recovery Resources, Inc. from 2015 to 2017. Joshua continued to pursue their passion for helping others by joining Realization Center as a Clinical Case Manager from 2018 to 2019. Additionally, Joshua worked as a Recovery Coach at Mountainside in 2019, providing support, education, and advocacy to clients in their recovery journey. Joshua then progressed into business development roles at Recovery Centers of America, serving as a Business Development Officer from 2019 to 2020, a Business Development Team Lead from 2020 to 2022, and currently holds the position of Business Development Regional Manager. Throughout their career, Joshua has demonstrated strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills while maintaining a focus on providing the highest level of service to clients.

Joshua Sewell completed their Master of Education (MEd) degree in Counselor Education: Clinical Mental Health from the University of New Orleans in the years 2013-2015. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from East Tennessee State University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Social Work, between 2008 and 2012. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained various certifications, including a Mental Health Counselor - Limited Permit (MHC-LP) from the New York State Education Department in October 2018 and a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC-T) from the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services in September 2018. Joshua also holds the designation of Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) from The National Board for Certified Counselors since 2016 and a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) from the Louisiana Counseling Association since 2016. Lastly, they have been a Licensed Insurance Producer since 2004, although no institution is provided for this certification.
