Seona Goerndt

Seona Goerndt is the current President & CEO at RECOVERY RESOURCES. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Director at HealthSpan Ohio from January 2014 to December 2017. In this role, they partnered with fellow leaders and acquiring organizations to transition activities, maintain operations, provide health plan runout services, and close 5 sites. During this time, they led the shutdown of administrative offices while consolidating >100 associates to our Cleveland location. Architecting and implementing necessary infrastructure, they ensured a successful transition of business to acquirer.

» Liaised between HealthSpan and acquiring organization, serving as subject-matter expert and answering/resolving any questions/issues that arose during transfer of membership.

» Oversaw governance and compliance, including facilitating audits, responding to requests for data, and answering general questions post-operational closure.

» Worked with IS to determine data sources, deciding what information to keep and what storage solutions to employ.

» Solutioned successful approach to large risk item, securing and saving 26M individual encounter records following acquisition and loss of EPIC system. Created hierarchy for data configuration, audited process, created test cases, tracked data, and ensured proper transfer.

Seona Goerndt has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cleveland State University in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Notre Dame College in Human Resource Development. Seona is also certified as a Patient Experience Professional from The Beryl Institute.
