Robert Ashford

Co-Founder & CEO at RecoveryLink

Robert Ashford is the co-founder and CEO of RecoveryLink. Robert has dedicated their career to helping others recover from substance use disorders and has worked with some of the leading organizations in the field.

Ashford began their career as a graduate research fellow at the Treatment Research Institute, where they worked on developing new treatments for substance use disorders. Robert then joined JBS International, Inc. as a technical assistance manager, working on the MAT-PDOA project with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

In 2018, Ashford left JBS to join Unity Recovery, a recovery community organization, as a recovery scientist. Robert helped the organization expand its programs and services into the 21st century. Robert also worked with VFR Consultants to provide support and assistance to emerging recovery communities.

In 2020, Ashford co-founded RecoveryLink, an organization that provides resources and support to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. Robert is currently the CEO of the organization.

Robert Ashford has a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Pennsylvania, a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, and a Bachelors from the University of North Texas. Robert is certified by the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals as a Peer Recovery Coach and as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist.
