John Harlow

John Harlow is the Executive Vice President, Commercial at Recro Pharma. Prior to joining Recro Pharma, John served as the Chief Commercial Officer at Baudax Bio from November 2019 through March 2021. At Baudax Bio, John led a team of 600+ sales representatives and achieved sales targets by enhancing sales, sales training and sales operations capabilities. John also created sales improvement initiatives that enhanced capabilities as measured by customer feedback. Some of these key initiatives included the introduction of sales competencies aligned with corporate values, a new performance review process, coaching reports, hiring profiles, selling/coaching models and a comprehensive leadership business review process. In addition, John led a talent acquisition culture shift critical to launch which resulted in field force expansion, the creation of HQ and Field leadership development roles, and talent management reviews to prepare the organization for the transition to launch brand.

Prior to their role at Baudax Bio, John served as the Executive Vice President, Commercial at Recro Pharma from January 2016 to November 2019. In this role, John was responsible for all commercial activities for Recro Pharma including sales, marketing, market access and managed markets. During their tenure at Recro Pharma, John successfully launched three products, grew annual revenues from $15 million to over $200 million and led the company through an IPO in 2017.

Before joining Recro Pharma, John served as the Vice President & General Manager of the Pain Business Unit at Endo Pharmaceuticals from January 2015 to December

John Harlow has a Bachelor's Degree in B.S., Biology from Lehigh University and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Pharmaceutical Management from Seton Hall University.
