Megan Rich Hu, PhD has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. From 2022 onwards, they serve as the Principal Investigator at Root Healing | Iboga, where they lead research efforts. In 2021 and 2022, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Megan'sresearch involved developing and implementing a protocol for noninvasive drug and gene delivery to target brain regions using focused ultrasound. Megan applied this technique to destabilize fear memory traces in a rodent model of PTSD. Megan Rich Hu, PhD began their education in 2005 at East Carolina University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Megan continued their studies in psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2007 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2014, Megan enrolled at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Neuroscience. Megan successfully completed their PhD in 2020.
