Anil Swarup MD MBA FAPA

Anil Swarup MD MBA FAPA has a long and varied work experience in the medical field. In 2021, they began their current role as Medical Director at Newport Healthcare. From 2019-2021, they held the role of Adjunct Assistant Professor Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. In 2018, they were the Behavioral Health Medical Director at Recuro Health (previously Wellvia). From 2019-2021, they were the Medical Director at Eating Disorder Solutions, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Red Rock Behavioral Health Services, Medical Director Adolescent Psychiatry at Haven Behavioral Healthcare, and Medical Director at Center for Discovery. From 2012-2016, they held the role of Psychiatrist at Emergency Psychiatry Medicine and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at MHMR of Tarrant County. From 2014-2019, they were the Medical Director and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Phoenix House, where they performed evaluations, managed psychotropic medications for adolescents in residential treatment, and collaborated with the team to aid in substance dependence recovery.

Anil Swarup MD MBA FAPA obtained an M.B.,B.S. degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in 1993-1999. Anil then completed a residency in General Psychiatry at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport from 2002-2005. In 2005-2007, they completed a Fellowship in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In 2019-2021, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business. Anil Swarup MD MBA FAPA has also obtained certifications in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. in 2011, General/Adult Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. in 2010, and Addiction Medicine from the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) in 2022.
