Hun Kim

Hun Kim has extensive experience in the renewable energy industry. Hun is currently working as the Development Director at Recurrent Energy since September 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Director of Development at Samsung C&T Corporation from June 2022 to August 2022, where they supervised the daily development activities of utility-scale PV solar and storage projects in the west market of the U.S. Before that, they served as the Regional Director of the Renewable Energy Team at Samsung C&T America, Inc. from May 2019 to May 2022, overseeing the development of utility-scale PV solar and storage projects in the U.S. and Texas.

Hun also worked at Samsung C&T Corporation as a Business Development Manager from August 2015 to April 2019, where they focused on early-stage project development for utility-scale solar projects in California. Hun also spearheaded PPA marketing activities and responded to various RFP opportunities. Additionally, they served as a Corporate Planning Manager at Samsung C&T Corporation from August 2013 to August 2015, where they set up the company's strategy for infrastructure investment in power generation and LNG import terminal.

Hun's career in the renewable energy industry started at Samsung C&T Corporation, where they worked as an Assistant Manager from July 2003 to June 2011.

Hun Kim completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University from 1995 to 2001. Hun then pursued a Master of Science degree in Control and System Theory from Seoul National University from 2001 to 2003. Later, Hun Kim enrolled at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a concentration in strategy and decision science. It is also mentioned that Hun Kim has pursued another Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Duke University, but the start year and end year are unknown.
