Patrick McCarver

Patrick McCarver is an experienced software and process design engineer with a strong background in developing innovative technologies and optimizing industrial processes. Currently a Recurser at Recurse Center, Patrick focuses on creating a Chrome extension for remote pairing using React, Node.js, and Express. Previously, as a Software Engineer for the Merkle Brothers Ethereum Trading Card Game, Patrick worked on a fantasy trading card game utilizing Solidity and JavaScript, incorporating player governance via smart contracts. During tenure at Albemarle Corporation, Patrick held the position of Process Design Engineer, leading multiple capital projects and process optimizations that resulted in significant annual savings, while also mentoring interns and new hires. Educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and an Associate of Arts in Chemistry from Mineral Area College.
