Oren Kraus

Oren Kraus is a seasoned machine learning expert with extensive experience in the intersection of technology and drug discovery. Currently serving as the Director of Machine Learning at Recursion since September 2021, Oren leads multiple teams in multi-modal machine learning research and previously held roles as Associate Director, Staff Machine Learning Scientist, and Senior Machine Learning Scientist within the same organization. As a co-founder and machine learning advisor at Phenomic, Oren contributes to accelerating drug discovery using AI. Oren's past roles also include Machine Learning Team Lead at ProteinQure, Head of Data Science at League Inc., and Machine Learning Researcher at Borealis AI. Oren's academic background includes a PhD in Machine Learning/Computational Biology and advanced degrees in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
