Lauren Hoffert is an experienced culinary professional with a strong background in baking and pastry arts. Currently employed as a Food Service Worker at Island Health since November 2018, Lauren has previously held various roles as a Brand Ambassador, Cake Decorator, and Main Prep Cook while being self-employed since 2013. Lauren founded Designs by Lauren in 2010, specializing in custom cakes and innovative flavor development. Additional experience includes working as a Guru customer service expert at Shopify and various pastry positions at Ooh La La Cupcakes, Purple Pastry Food Truck, Twisted Tortes, Blackfoot Inn, Cakes In Vogue, and Sweetly Speaking Inc. Lauren holds a Baking and Pastry Arts Diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, obtained in 2010.
