Peter Low

Partner, Co-head of Energy Research at Redburn

Peter Low has a diverse work experience starting from 2006. Peter worked as a Part-time Sales Assistant at WHSmith from September 2006 to May 2007. Later, in 2007, they volunteered as a Teacher at Help Tafo Trust, where they independently planned and conducted lessons in a small primary school in Ghana.

In 2009, they worked as a Summer Intern at PwC. Then, in 2011, they became an Intern (Risk and Controls Solutions) at PwC before eventually moving into a role as an Assurance Senior Associate in PwC's London Top Tier (LTT) business unit.

Throughout their time at PwC, Peter gained experience in delivering assurance services to FTSE 100 and similar international clients, with a specific focus on the energy and utility sectors. Peter also qualified as an ACA with first-time exam passes.

Since 2014, Peter has been working at Redburn as a Partner and Co-head of Energy Research. In this role, they lead global integrated energy analysis and covers major energy companies such as Shell, BP, Total, Exxon, and Chevron. Peter is responsible for forecasting earnings, cash flows, and capital requirements, as well as providing macro analysis and commentary. Notably, they have authored major reports addressing the impact of the 'energy transition,' the consequences of IMO 2020 on refining margins, and the growth outlook for renewable diesel.

Peter Low began their education at Banchory Academy in Aberdeenshire, UK, from 2001 to 2007. During this period, they studied subjects such as Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, and Philosophy. Following their time at Banchory Academy, Peter attended the University of Bristol from 2007 to 2010. Here, they achieved a First Class Honours BA degree in History. Finally, from 2011 to 2014, they pursued further education at ICAEW, specializing in Accounting and Finance, and earned the ACA degree.
