Jeff Layne

Jeff Layne has a diverse work experience in the engineering and oil/gas industry. Jeff began their career at United Cities Gas Company in 1986, where they served as a Project Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Engineering Manager, as well as providing legal counsel. In 1998, they founded Linkosity Corporation, a developing e-commerce company where they performed business development and marketing functions. Jeff then moved to Kinder Morgan in 2002, where they held various roles including Director of Engineering & Major Projects, Manager of Major Projects and Engineering, Manager of Engineering and Regulatory Compliance, and Senior Engineer. During their time at Kinder Morgan, Jeff was responsible for completing significant energy construction projects and provided engineering support for business development projects. In 2016, they joined E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing pipeline services for the oil, gas, and utility industries. Jeff then worked as Vice President - National Leader for Energy - Oil and Gas at Kleinfelder in 2017 before moving on to a Vice President role at Kingfisher Midstream in 2018. From 2019 to 2023, Jeff served as Chief Operating Officer at Meritage Midstream - Portfolio Company to Riverstone Holdings LLC. Currently, they are working as part of the Commercial & Engineering team at Red Cedar Gathering Company.

Jeff Layne obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, where they attended from 1983 to 1986. Jeff subsequently pursued a degree in Law and attended Nashville School of Law from 1987 to 1992, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence and becoming a licensed attorney.
