William MacMillan has a diverse work experience. William started their career in the United States Air Force as a Pilot in 1992 and later transitioned to the 6th Special Operations Squadron as a Combat Aviation Advisor. In 2002, they retired from the Federal Government as a Senior Executive. From 2021 to 2022, they worked as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the Central Intelligence Agency. William then joined Salesforce in 2022 as the SVP of Information Security until 2023. At the same time, William also worked as a Contributor at The CyberWire, where they discussed cybersecurity strategies and technologies from an executive point of view. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Product Officer in early-stage incubation at Red Cell Partners since 2023.
William MacMillan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the United States Air Force Academy. William also holds a Master's degree in Management of Secure Information Systems (Cybersecurity) from George Mason University and another Master's degree in International Relations from Salve Regina University.
